Our Story

It all started in 2023 in a small, bustling kitchen in Chicago, Illinois (our current HQ). Our founders, Jane Doe and John Smith, were running a high-volume diner and feeling the daily friction of managing a restaurant. For decades, the hospitality industry has been held back by fragmented, outdated management tools. Operators were forced to glue together clunky legacy point-of-sale terminals, manual inventory spreadsheets, and disjointed kitchen displays.

Jane, a former tech executive turned restaurateur, and John, a Michelin-trained chef, realized that to scale their business, they needed a system that actually worked. They needed an all-in-one platform that was intuitive, reliable, and deeply understood the fast-paced nature of the hospitality industry. When they couldn't find one on the market, they decided to build it themselves. That's how Serv. was born.

The Team Behind Serv.

Today, the Serv. team is composed of passionate engineers, designers, and former restaurant operators who understand the unique challenges of the industry.

• Jane Doe, CEO & Co-founder: With over 15 years in software engineering and 5 years in hospitality management, Jane leads our overall vision and strategy, ensuring we stay true to our mission of empowering operators.
• John Smith, CPO & Co-founder: John brings an operator's empathy to our product design. He ensures that every button, screen, and workflow in the Serv. ecosystem makes sense for the people standing on the floor for 12 hours a day.
• Michael Johnson, CTO: Michael secures our infrastructure, building a highly available, robust cloud architecture that scales from single-location cafes to massive international franchises.
